After about seven hours of sleep...

I feel quite zen.

Lily managed 8 hours between feeds and slept most of it. Thought she was dead when she didn't wake. I feel like I was on standby most of the night but I still managed to sleep more than I have in the last 2 months. I've got one boob about ready to explode though but I can deal with that.

La cigogne est enfin passée

Lily-Anne Clara was born at 1am on Friday, the 4th of November, nine days overdue (after a Floridian recount).

She's adorable but won't be easily settled so her parents have hardly slept in the last two weeks. They now sport the very fashionable zombie look that so many new parents tend to adopt.

Maybe once things settle down (some people tell me this could go on like this for 6 months), I'll be able to get back online but for now I'll be scarce.

P.S. Before my mother flew back to Canada, she babysat for us one evening. (It was either that or the nuthouse for me.) Went to see Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Folks, I cannot recommend enough this flick. Drop what you're doing and go check it out. Just brilliant.

After about 30+ hours of contractions so far, some strong, some weak, some (but few) regular ones, most all over the place, I'm still where I'm started. "It's the most frustrated phase," they tell me. Right. "Could go on for days." F-ing great.
