Now I know this'll sound bad but...

I did make it to Master and Commander last night.

After the movie, Scribe went, "Well, thank god, it's over."

Surprised, I asked, "Why, you didn't like it?" A non-committal grunt later from her and I was adding, "Was better than RotK for me."

She looked at me like I'd grown two heads or something. "Huh-huh. I fell asleep."

"I wish I had for RotK," I retorted, a big, fat smile on my face.

And sadly enough, I find it's the truth. Both only screened once, Master and Commander comes on top for me - by quite a margin. Sacrilege, I know, but hey... I always was a sucker for ship/submarine flicks anyway, and Peter Weir's work to boot. Paul Bettany was simply brilliant and he and Russell Crowe did a fab job with their characters' friendship. The whole cast was great, the script beautifully written, the music fitting and inspiring. Then again, I'm a sucker for cello too. :)

Anyway, before I get hit by juicy tomatoes, I'll duck off my soap box.

Ciao.
