Front row seats and oh boy!

Went to see Peribáñez again tonight. A big thank you to 2_the_max, who invited me to go with her. We also met with Mercedes, coming all the way from Queensland. We hung around after the play so 2_the_max could get Marton Csokas' autograph, and lo and behold, we even got to meet him. (Freshly showered, I might add.)

Fangirl moment, I'm afraid. (And I nearly missed all of him too as nature was calling.) Talk about timing. But it all certainly made our night. All dark and handsome, he shook hands and agreed to a photo then left the York Theatre accompanied by Eva Green.

He's good onstage. You feel his strength and energy, and he's certainly enjoying himself. Having seen a preview performance two days into the run of the play, and now, with three more nights to go, seeing a more mature one was certainly interesting. Some things were more raw the first time around, maybe more fiery, less in check, but it's certainly gelled better now. It's tighter. The whole cast is good, funny, and there's a good chemistry all round.

Ah, what a night. :)
