Back from the mountains

Four days with the in-laws and no internet access in the Blue Mountains. Is it a surprise I didn't want to come back? Perhaps. But we had a good time (I always love to revisit Leura, Katoomba and the Megalong Valley), and I find that now with Lily around the only moments we have to really relax are when we're not home. Because, well... because there's always *something* to do at home... even when the baby is fed, dressed and cared for... work on the house, the garden, the dishes, the laundry, the vacuuming, the floors, the sewing, the pool, and don't even get me started on the windows and blinds! I don't think I washed the car in the last 18 months and no it's not just due to water restrictions.

But we're back to the rat race tonight. And thunderstorms. Started last night in the mountains and after a sunny interlude today, they're back in force tonight. What a lightshow!

Zap ... Dugald Powe captured this lightning strike over Narellan Vale, south West Sydney. (news.com.au)
