Sirius and all that jazz

Palmed off Lily on the neighbours and headed out to the cinema to see Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix.

I was a bit apprehensive because the last movie was so long and dragging (and overall not very good at all) but I was pleasantly surprised with this one. Wow. Good pace throughout, not overly long either, good storytelling, and I just loved the CGI and special effects. A good balance of spooky and drama and humour. I really enjoyed it, probably as much if not more than the first one.

For those who don't know, I don't read the books. Hubby does and books 4, 5 and 6 were going downhill in his opinion so he was happy to see that this movie was only based on the fifth book. It made it better. Much better. Now he might just pick up number seven afterall.

And oh... that's me, totally smitten by Gary Oldman's Sirius Black. ::grins::

Other than that, I feel a bit swamped and Lily is teething (back molars) and consequently very clingy. For those of you who saw my message/post either on OSA or the RPGs about taking a step back for a while, it's nothing life-threatening or anything. There's just some unforeseen sh*t that needs dealing with, that's true, but our departure is also due to some real work coming our way and we need to get it done. But thank you for your concern and thoughts.

Night-night, everyone.
