Feels like ages

First thing first, I'm not caught up on my flist posts. When I do find some time to catch up, by the time I am I have no time left to post. SO, today I thought I'd do it the other way around. I'll post and see if I can read all the posts after. :)

In fact, I'm not sure I have all that much to say. Not spending a lot of time online unless it's to work on OSA or answer a few tags for RPGs. I'm into a couple of writing projects (yes, one is the VV!) so I'm giving some of my time there as well, though not nearly enough as I'd like. I hate the pressure. I work well under it but for that you need to at least be 'scheduled' as working, and all the moms here know how that works when you're at home.

They cancelled Stargate Atlantis. For some reason, I didn't see it coming. In fact, I wasn't even expecting any decision of that kind to be taken around this time of the year. Or maybe it's just my brain which hasn't caught up with the calendar yet? Not that the show doesn't have its problems, but still... with BSG singing her swan song, that left SGA as the only current show set in space. Earth-based sci-fi and X-Files-flavoured shows à la [upcoming] Fringe are all well and good but they're not space shows. I like space, damn it. /rant

Speaking of Mulder and Scully, we're finally going to see them tonight. About time too. It's only playing at a few spots now and most likely for the last week.

What else? Well, what do you know! I made some harsh comments about how emaciated Holly Hunter looks in Saving Grace a while back (and I still stand by those) but I forgot to get back on here to admit that after just one damn episode I was hooked. Been back every week to watch season two. It's the only show at the moment (along with Dexter, I suppose - just finished watching the first season) that can crack me up. It's raw. It's honest, down and dirty. And Everlast's music is catchy! Anyone watching it? Worth catching up on the first season?

Some news on family health issues in a locked post that will follow shortly.

Other than that, not much else to report. Looking forward to summer. The trees are budding, tulips and daffodils have been out for a while now. Yay!

Oh, Lily started a dance class once a week this term. She loves it. It's ballet and tap. You should see her! LOL

Hope life is being nice to you. Take care!
