Been a while

How's everybody?

The SO got a new job. He's starting Tuesday, Monday being a public holiday here and all. A bit anxious at that unknown quantity but nowhere near as anxious as we were before he scored the job. I was experiencing a feeling of freefalling I really didn't like. If I want to go skydiving, which admittedly is something I've always wanted to try, I'll jump out of a perfectly good aeroplane on my terms.

Second good news of the week, Lily has done her first poo in the toilet. A reason to celebrate surely. :) She got a special glittering star sticker on her potty chart and a little fairy Barbie thingy - Lily is a big fan of Mariposa.

Currently working on OSA, checking fics, which of course means I don't have the chance to touch on mine, and sitting out this bad weather we're having. After a scorching 34-degree heat yesterday, I must say today was a let-down... but then it's Saturday and how many times a year do we get gorgeous weather during the week and crap one come the weekend? Plenty, so shouldn't come as a surprise.

We're also planning Lily's third birthday. Can't believe how quick that's come around.

My mom was celebrating her 60th yesterday. Would have been nice to be there. Don't know why we don't have access to Stargates yet. Would make things so much easier, and quick too. Can you imagine? Pop around for a cafe au lait in Paris, some surfing in Hawaii in the afternoon and be back home for tea. One can dream. And yes, I know, the stargate wouldn't work in multiple locations on Earth. Canon-people, don't burst my daydream bubble.

Speaking of SGA, was pretty impressed with last week's episode. Still need to catch up with this week's Bones, Supernatural and SCC.

Alright, got more to say but the pork roast is calling... and I need to start on the veggies and the apple sauce.
