Meet Lily, The Tantrum Child

It's 's birthday today... Happy Birthday, sweetie!

Judging by my current icon, someone hacked my LJ because I never uploaded this image. What does one do about that? Hmm...

Went to see The International on Tuesday. Was a good movie, I thought. Good suspense and for once, law inforcement from other countries aren't depicted as idiots. And it has the best shoot-out scene I've seen in a long time. Can't wait for the DVD to watch it again - not that I'm violent-prone or anything. But that said, with Lily's tantrums and dramas in recent weeks, there's something cathartic about a semi-automatic weapon.

Can't decide which poster I like best. :) Did I say Clive Owen was so damn intense yummy in this? He was.

Oh, and about three weeks ago I went to see (the remake for) My Bloody Valentine in 3D.

Wasn't really on my list but someone I know wanted to see it. Wasn't actually as bad as I thought. I saw plenty of slasher movies growing up and this one was pretty on par with those (late 70s and 80s - anyone remember Jamie Lee Curtis? Hehehe!). And the 3D effects were amazing. Probably worth seeing for that alone - if you can put up with [a lot of] blood and guts, which I find I don't care for as much as I did as a teenager.

Jensen Ackles was supposed to be the eye candy but I found myself rooting for the sheriff (played by Kerr Smith), a deadringer for Karl Urban. I know the guy from other movies and TV shows and never until MBV did I see any resemblance with my favourite Rohirrim. Here, have a taste of what I'm talking about:

Uncanny, right? The last pic is from some Punk'd episode though, not the movie. But if you remember Urban in Via Satellite then you know why I included it. :)
