Officially, three more weeks.

But when does a baby come when you expect him/her to?

My mom will be here in less than two weeks. Her first trip to Australia. Her first grand-child. I think she said she needed a full suitcase just to carry the baby stuff she bought. As a first time gran, the fact she won't be seeing that kid more than once every two years, I think she's trying to make this first time count. Yep, living abroad has its downside but at least I don't have to put up with Quebec's shitty winters.

What else? Well this is my third week off work. Can't say it's all that bad. The real bad news at the moment is that the little brat decided to turn last week and now, instead of presenting correctly like she had since the beginning (which is head down and her back against my belly), she's head down but posterior (which means her back is to my back). It just doesn't fit as easily through the pelvis that way when it's time to come out and it makes the labour that much longer, more painful and harder. Wouldn't you know that I pulled that one on my mother too? Twenty-five hours it took once she got to hospital. Karma sucks, I tell you.

Now, back to male goodness. :)

Meh, not his best expression to date! Oh, baby! He's getting hotter with age...

Saw Serenity last Friday...

So I had to nab this from :

Zoe
You are Zoe. While most others see you as a
stone-cold bitch and yes.woman to the captain,
you can be both a loving wife and quite
emotional - though you never let it show.

Which Firefly character are you?

The movie rocked. Still missed the extra layers the series gave us on each character, but it still managed quite well to condense a lot of shit in less than two hours. Without spoiling anyone, I was gutted by some... losses.

Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes

As Bowie would say...

Last day at work today. Probably explains why I'm up at 4h40 am and can't sleep. Due to some health issues last week (repeats from something that reared its head at the back end of August), we decided to switch me to the day shift. Weird enough on its own as I haven't work days for a couple of years, but even harder due to this silly pregnancy that's messing up my body clock anyway.

Anyway, the switch wasn't enough (or too much) and I think my body is really sending me a signal to quit while I'm ahead. I was all set to ignore it but since the last episode of the 'flashing spots' happened in front of my boss, the Company is keen to listen where I'm not. SO I'm finishing two weeks ahead of schedule. Shouldn't be that big a deal, should it? The Company is even going as far as paying me until the end of the month even if I won't be working it. How great is that? So I should just be grateful, sit back and relax and get ready to become a mother. Hmm. I think that's just it; I was holding on to work like it was pushing back the inevitable.

I guess after today I'll just have to face the music for real and stop pretending this huge bulge that precedes me wherever I go is really going to pop in a few weeks to release this parasite that's keeping me awake and giving me heartburn and making me pee six times a night and uses my cervix as a trampoline every now and then.

On the flip side, until this bundle of joy drops, this finishing-work-early thing should give me more time to play in Tol Elannon for a bit and catch up on the RPGs.

No, I shouldn't complain.

And nabbed from :

Life sucks ass 2 but at least I'm meme-ing.

From . Again. :)

Go to musicoutfitters.com and put the year you graduated from high school into
the search. The first link is likely the top 100 songs of that year. Cut and
paste that list here. Bold the ones you actually like. Understand that the word
"like" in this case means, in the very least, "wouldn't immediately change the
radio station from." Pick a favorite. Underline that favorite.
