St Paddy's

Stuck in Sydney traffic on St-Patrick's Day sucks, let me tell you. But we made it in the end. Rob and his mom climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge and I went shopping downtown. :)

Something is bothering me, besides streets turning into carparks... Summer is over. I can feel it in my bones, smell it in the air. It's still getting pretty warm during the day, but I just know it. It's different. Meh.

On another note, Lily turned 16 months old over a week ago. Already. Yeah, I know. I can't remember when she was only a bub. It's all downhill from here.

When two Scots meet

Gerard Butler was on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on the 5th March. And thanks to some kind souls who put it out on the web, I can watch it! Yay!

And this one is from 2005:

Bad news...

While I was prancing in the wilderness, New Atlantis got shut down by NBC. Grrr and grrrr. What a bunch of wankers. Where will we find hi-res pix of SGA and SG-1? Certainly not on the official sites. They can't see a good thing when it smacks them on the arse.

Gerard Butler was on the Tonight Show while I was away as well. Queen Latifah was on Leno too, and I must admit that she and Butler were an hilarious combination. See the interview here.

Back from the mountains

Four days with the in-laws and no internet access in the Blue Mountains. Is it a surprise I didn't want to come back? Perhaps. But we had a good time (I always love to revisit Leura, Katoomba and the Megalong Valley), and I find that now with Lily around the only moments we have to really relax are when we're not home. Because, well... because there's always *something* to do at home... even when the baby is fed, dressed and cared for... work on the house, the garden, the dishes, the laundry, the vacuuming, the floors, the sewing, the pool, and don't even get me started on the windows and blinds! I don't think I washed the car in the last 18 months and no it's not just due to water restrictions.

But we're back to the rat race tonight. And thunderstorms. Started last night in the mountains and after a sunny interlude today, they're back in force tonight. What a lightshow!
