I actually survived the experience and I'm back.

First thing's first... a little disclaimer. Sweet Angel just reminded me in the nicest of ways that there are some Québécois around so I feel I should point out that both pictures I'm using - La Maudite and La Chasse-galerie - come from Unibroue, a micro-brewery from Québec. One of their beers is themed on an old folk legend that always fascinated me...

La Maudite has a typically Québécois name that is reminiscent of the legend of the Chasse-Galerie. The legend has it that a group of lumberjacks struck a deal with the devil to fly home in their canoes, guided by Satan himself, to make it home in time for Christmas.

So there. And now, I better get my behind to work.
