What to say? Isn't it the start of Summer in some part of the world? Well, it's bloody Winter down here. That's when I wish I had the money and the work situation to let me live six months in each country. Canada in Summer, Australia in Summer. The girl's not asking too much, is she? :)

Been busy bees the last couple of weeks setting up the house. Twisted around the dining room to accomodate a 'living room' section (it's all closer to the kitchen so will be the space for the playing/awake baby), and the guest bedroom has been dismantled to allow for the 'baby room' to come to life, and the guest bed is now in the granny flat and the bed in the granny flat needs to make it to the pool room (not pool as in game but pool as in big container of water, so the room next to it) for the sister-in-law is planning an extended stay starting in Feb (I think), which will coincide with the in-laws being here too for some six weeks so the flat won't be available for her. That means hubby needs to empty the pool room somehow of all his computer gear and other shit so we can turn this into a tentative guest room. Your head spinning yet? We've also been buying quite a few things for the bubs... cot, bassinet, baby capsule for the car, high chair, pram, dresser/change table and other gizmos. (Will it ever end?) Can't afford all new so eBay has been rather handy. Once I find the bedding I want for the little alien's cot, then we'll be able to attack the paint job in the room.

Also got a buffet/hutch thing for the kitchen as all the baby stuff/food/bottles/steriliser/food heater and whatnot will need some space. It's crazy, I tell you. It's not even to showcase some nice piece of porcelain, it's for the baby. It's like an earthquake already and the thing is not even out yet.

Anyhoo... hubby and I trying to spend a lot of time together too, as we're told it won't happen again for the next twenty-five years.

It's all a bit overwhelming, isn't it?
