bakabeyond

Back from a short holidays in the pretty Blue Mountains. Was nice to leave the city, as much as I love Sydney.

Lily loved being out and about and my fears she would be hard to settle away from home were - of course - unfounded. She was great and slept very well. Could be the fresh mountain air, the fact it wasn't so stinking hot up there, or because her parents aimed to kick back and relax... :)

Not much of a birthday when you spend it packing and then stuck in the car driving up the M4, but then what's in a birthday anyway? A record low in number of cards this year too. Oh, well. Shouldn't knock it. I'm middle-aged now and that's when a woman should stop counting the years, right? The in-laws did treat me to a nice meal out in Katoomba. Very enjoyable and tasty food.

Got a nice surprise this morning. , you simply rock. You're the only one who gave me something for me this year, would you believe. The only one. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I even watched the tape this morning. I refused to get stuck into anything else until I was done, too. Cheers.

, I'm sorry for your loss. I truly, deeply feel for his wife and children. I hope Boz isn't taking it too hard. I won't even ask what the latest wankfest was about because, honestly, in the face of this, it means not a goddamn thing.

I'll try and catch up with the flist entries as soon as I can. Four days offline is four days offline, and it's the in-laws' last week (on top of having a lot of laundry to catch up on since this little trip was 'bring your own linen') so the next few days should be pretty full on.

Oh, and also had a message from my doctor wanting me to make an appointment with her this week. I wonder what's wrong with me that I have my own GP chasing me...
Anyway, better go feed that baby of mine.
